Here’s what’s going on in the ward.
Our ward choir practices Sundays at 4:00 PM here at the Coit building in the Relief Society room. There will be no choir practice in October. Choir practice will resume in November. We encourage everyone who would like to participate to come join us as we prepare songs for the Christmas program.
General Conference will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, with sessions at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day. All are invited to watch.
With General Conference next weekend, our ward will hold fast and testimony meeting on Sunday, October 11.
Our ward Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 23! Join us for dinner at 6:00 PM, a costume contest at 6:30 PM, and trunk or treating at 6:45 PM. Prizes for best trunk, best overall costume, funniest, best family/couples, cutest, and best DIY. Sign up to bring a trunk or help out.
Planning a trip to the Dallas Texas Temple? Reservations are available and walk-ins are welcome. Book your session ahead of time on the temple's page.
Ongoing classes and support programs.
Join us as we spend the year doing an in-depth study of miracles throughout all scripture. Wednesdays at 10:00 AM at the Coit Building. Class runs August 26 through April. Nursery provided with reservation.
Mission Prep is at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center and is for all Juniors and Seniors. Upcoming sessions: Sunday, October 18 and Sunday, November 15.
If you are working with youth and have not taken the Church's Youth Protection Training in the past three years, please take the class. It takes about 30 minutes.
You are not alone, and help is available. General Addiction meetings are Thursdays at 8:00 PM at the Teel building, HC room; men and women are welcome. Pornography recovery (men only) meets Sunday evenings at 8:30 PM via Zoom; contact Elder Dennis Shanklin at (818) 378-1603 for the link.
